Morton West High School’s New Freshman Academy

Construction will be starting this Spring for the new addition which will support 1080 incoming Freshman.   The design will provide a variety of flexible learning environments and will include a 2-story great room with a learning stair, several extended learning areas open to the corridors, activity rooms for project space outside of the typical classroom, and STEAM labs.  The Academy is organized into 8 teams of 135 students per team.  Each team will have 4 classrooms and 2 teams will share a STEAM lab.  The new addition will also include a freshman dining room which will feature a large video wall display for larger group presentations.
